Hi, ich bin Lara, Modefotografin aus der Nähe von Düsseldorf. Meine Fotografie ist mutig, farbintensiv und avantgardistisch – eine Mischung aus kunstvoller Inszenierung und moderner High Fashion. Ich liebe es, mit Farben, Formen und Texturen zu spielen, um visuelle Welten zu erschaffen, die kraftvoll, sinnlich und selbstbewusst sind.
Seit meiner Schulzeit fasziniert mich die Fotografie – zunächst autodidaktisch, heute professionell als Fotografin mit einem Bachelorstudium an der FH Dortmund. Mein Blick auf Mode ist geprägt vom Female Gaze: Ich möchte Models nicht nur zeigen, sondern ihre Präsenz spürbar machen. Selbstbestimmt, unerreichbar und gleichzeitig nahbar – nicht als Projektionsfläche, sondern als Individuen mit Tiefe und eigener Erzählung.
Meine Bildsprache ist ein Balanceakt zwischen technischer Präzision und kreativer Freiheit. Ich arbeite mit intensiven Farben und dramatischen Schatten, um eine visuelle Welt zu erschaffen, in der Mode, Kunst und Emotion miteinander verschmelzen. Mich interessiert, wie Bilder Wahrnehmung formen – wie sie definieren, was wir als schön, stark oder begehrenswert empfinden. Dabei liebe ich es, mit kreativen Teams aus Stylisten, Hair & Makeup Artisten und Videografen zusammenzuarbeiten, um eine gemeinsame Vision zum Leben zu erwecken. Die besten Bilder entstehen für mich dann, wenn Ideen aufeinandertreffen und Neues entsteht.
Fotografie ist für mich nicht nur Leidenschaft, sondern auch Widerstand. Ich lebe mit ME/CFS, einer chronischen Krankheit, die mich oft ausbremst. Doch meine Kunst ist mein Weg, mich nicht von Grenzen definieren zu lassen. Jeder Moment hinter der Kamera ist ein Beweis dafür, dass ich weitermache – dass ich meine Visionen trotz aller Hürden in die Welt bringe.
Meine Fotografie soll ein Statement sein – für eine Ästhetik, die nicht um Erlaubnis fragt, sondern ihre eigene Sprache spricht.
I have been fascinated by photography since my school days - initially self-taught, now professionally as a photographer with a Bachelor's degree at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts. My view of fashion is characterized by the female gaze: I don't just want to show models, I want to make their presence tangible. Self-determined, unattainable and at the same time approachable - not as a projection surface, but as individuals with depth and their own narrative.
My visual language is a balancing act between technical precision and creative freedom. I work with intense colors and dramatic shadows to create a visual world in which fashion, art and emotion merge. I am interested in how images shape perception - how they define what we perceive as beautiful, strong or desirable. I love working with creative teams of stylists, hair & makeup artists and videographers to bring a shared vision to life. For me, the best images are created when ideas come together and something new emerges.
Photography is not only a passion for me, but also resistance. I live with ME/CFS, a chronic illness that often slows me down. But my art is my way of not letting boundaries define me. Every moment behind the camera is proof that I keep going - that I bring my visions into the world despite all the hurdles.
My photography should be a statement - for an aesthetic that doesn't ask for permission, but speaks its own language.
