Why is our society so afraid of feminine beauty? Exploring the concept of the mythological creature &bdquo;the siren&ldquo; in our beauty editorial, made us realize the deeply rooted fear that mankind always has had of a woman&rsquo;s attractiveness. The fear of a powerful woman using her beauty to manipulate and seduce men into doing what she wants and thus bringing trouble to them. The figure of the siren did not even start out as what we understand under the term today. Once being a bird like fable creature without any description of their physical appearance turned into half fish women whose whole existence is defined by bringing danger to men. How dare a women use her appearance to get something out of it for herself? But isn&rsquo;t it ironic? Because at the same time our value is measured by exactly that attractiveness. A group of young and creative women from Germany came together to bring the Fashion Editorial &bdquo;Jeantopia&ldquo; to life. Jeantopia is an interpretation of the current dystopian atmosphere lingering in our society and the reinvention of all-over-jeans Looks thanks to Glenn Martens at Diesel. The styling is focused on being playful and futuristic, expressing the zeitgeist and referring to iconic looks of current It-Girls like Julia Fox. While it features trendy clothes, half of the outfits were bought in second-hand stores showing that a terrific concept doesn&rsquo;t need to consist of only new pieces.
